The Great British Campout for the NHS and NHS charities Together

Great British Campout for the NHS Charities Together

Ian Alcorn setup a Great British Campout for the NHS during COVID

Hats off to Ian (and you Great Britain for taking part), who came up with the idea for anybody with a tent, caravan or camper van to campout in their garden and donate £2 to their Just Giving Page which would then be shared with NHS Charities Together.
Thousands camped out on 4th April 2020, with many then joining in over the easter weekend. At last count they had raised over £100K.

Thinking of camping out? Donate here.

Dance for your GP NHS. We Care NHS

Families came out to dance for their GP Doctor Neighbour

What to do when on lockdown? It's time to dance for your NHS neighbours!

Families came out on a quiet residential street in Henley to show their support for local GP @amanda_stallard who is moving to the frontline in the fight against Covid19. It bought a smile to our faces 🕺❤️🤣

Have you got a good story to share with the NHS to show them you care? Record it, Share it, Tag it #WeCareNHS and we’ll share it with the @nhswebsite #dancing #allinthistogether #highschoolmusical #Covid-19 #Coronavirus #NHSthanks #ThanksNHS #NHSHeroes

Rainbows For Nightingale

#RainbowsForNightingale

Rainbows for Nightingale to show We Care NHS!

A lovely project that has popped up across the country, asking children (or big children) to paint, draw or sketch a rainbow for Nightingale in London and share on Social Media with the hashtag #RainbowsForNightingale – thousands of pictures have been created across the UK already and many more I'm sure will be created over the Easter break.

NHS Nightingale has asked kindly for NO pictures to be posted to them – just shared on Social Media and perhaps placed in your front window so your neighbours can view your artwork!

Homeschool classmates 💜 These kind of group activities are a welcome break from trying to get Ariel to focus on anything but pure disruption when April’s trying to concentrate. It’s like a switch goes off in her when April is sitting quietly doing work, she becomes a Tasmanian Devil she can’t bear it 🤣 We went on our first walk to spot rainbows in people’s windows, we haven’t left the house in two weeks so really needed to get out, but even just a fifteen minute walk round the block you still get dirty looks 🙈🤣. Scared to leave the house incase someone takes our picture and puts it on twitter calling us selfish idiots 😆 Well anyway they got home and immediately wanted to work on a window display for other children to spot so that’s school for today 👍🏻❤️ . #fingerpainting #rainbowsfornightingale

3D Printing of Face Protection Shields During COVID-19 Coronavirus

3D Printing of Face Protection Shields for NHS to fight Coronavirus

Have you got a 3D Printer, and want to help the NHS print Face Protection Shields?

A group of 3D printing enthusiasts have founded a group called 3DCrowd UK and are working with medical institutions to provide their printers and their time to print protective face shields for NHS workers. They are now asking for volunteers with 3D printers, and the public donations to help print and deliver these shields to medical teams that most urgently need them. Visit their website to get involved.

“…the production of functional shields to protect medical workers that can be produced by anyone with the raw materials and a 3d printer, and thanks to Joseph Prusa we have just such a design. we have makers from across the country currently donating their print time and their materials to produce these shields, we have hospitals across the country asking for supplies but we only have so much material on hand and can only afford so much to donate to produce these. and so this is where this campaign comes in! we are looking for support to allow us to cover the cost of materials and transport of these masks where ever they are needed, each kilo of filament can, on average, print around 20 face shield frames, each kilo of petg filament costs on average around £20 per spool even now we have orders for 70, 100, 800- shields to be delivered asap, we need filament, we need elastic and plastic sheets for the visors and with your help we can afford this! we can keep our NHS staff healthy, they should never have to work without vital PPE (Personal Protective Equipment.)"

Help Them Help Us – Doctors coming together to help fund small and big ideas to support NHS staff

Small Grants to help support NHS staff during COVID-19

Help Them Help Us is a project started by doctors in the NHS trying to support the wellbeing of NHS workers during the crisis.

One of the main aims is to help offer small grants to key workers, to help pay for childcare, transport or the day-to-day.
An extraordinary effort, from a group of people who are extremely busy themselves!
